The 24th of February: three years of indomitability and struggle

Today three years have passed since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion into Ukraine. Three years of pain, loss, destruction, but at the same time - three years of unprecedented courage, strength of spirit and unity of the Ukrainian people.

These years have changed us forever. We have become stronger, more resilient, ready for any challenges. Ukrainians have proven to the whole world that freedom is our highest value, and independence is what we will fight for until victory.

We have already paid a huge price for this knowledge. 11 men - three employees and eight scientific and pedagogical workers of the Professional Medical College and the Rivne Medical Academy are now defending Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also 14 graduates and a lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynecology Yurii Ivaskiv of the Kostopil Professional Medical College, 19 graduates from the Rokytne Professional Medical College, more than ten graduates of Dubno Professional Medical College defend our country.

We honor the memory of all those who gave their lives for Ukraine. Among them are Denys Alekseienko and Ruslan Salivonchyk - graduates of our institution in Kostopil, Oleksii Bubyr and Andrii Domansky, who graduated from the college in Rokytne, Serhii Smaliuk, Ihor Kotvinskyi, Ihor Ivaniuk, Pavlo Dovhaniuk, Andrii Semenovych and Kateryna Stupnytska - graduates of Dubno College. The Black War touched, probably, every family of our academic family with the pain of loss and suffering. And there are not enough words to describe the depth of grief…

Despite everything, we thank our soldiers, doctors, volunteers, everyone who brings our common victory closer every day. Ukraine has persevered and is fighting on. And we know: the dark times will pass, and the light will triumph. We move forward with faith, strength and unshakable confidence in our victory.
