The creation of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Rivne Medical Academy took place simultaneously with the establishment of the Rivne Medical Academy. Today, the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Rivne Medical Academy prepares specialists of the educational and qualification level "Bachelor", where more than 400 students of such specialties as 223 Nursing, 224 Technologies of medical diagnosis and treatment, 226 Pharmacy, industrial pharmacy, 227 Physical therapy, occupational therapy study. Currently, the structure of the faculty includes five departments:
• social and humanitarian disciplines;
• department of fundamental disciplines;
• medical and preventive disciplines and laboratory diagnostics;
• chemical and pharmaceutical disciplines;
• physical therapy, occupational therapy
The personnel of the faculty consists of 40 scientific and pedagogical workers, 70% of them have a scientific degree, including 8% doctors of sciences, 62% candidates of sciences.
The faculty (dean) is headed by a Candidate of Medical Sciences, a professor of the department of medical and preventive disciplines and laboratory diagnostics, a surgeon Korobko Larysa Rostyslavivna
Material base: educational laboratory building, classrooms and laboratories, computer classes, assembly hall, sports and recreation complex, gym, library, electronic reading room, reading room, dormitories, educational-methodical complex in Pharmacognosy, educational pharmacy, all that is needed to prepare a professionally qualified specialist is available at Rivne Medical Academy.
The training is conducted according to the educational and professional programs and curricula. The students study humanities, fundamental sciences, which are the basis of medical and pharmaceutical knowledge, and professionally oriented disciplines. The students begin to get acquainted with the chosen profession on the lessons of various academic disciplines, and complete the consolidation of theoretical knowledge and practical skills during the passing of industrial and pre-diploma practice.
Having obtained a bachelor's degree, graduates will be able to continue their studies at medical universities and obtain an educational qualification level -Master in all specialties.
