On March 16, 2026, a regular meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Rivne Medical Academy, during which a number of important issues of the educational, scientific and organizational activities of the institution were considered.

The meeting began with a solemn part. The rector of the Rivne Medical Academy, Roman SHUSTYK, addressed the scientific and pedagogical staff with a welcoming speech. In his speech, he emphad the importance of consolidating the efforts of the entire team for the further development of the Academy, improving the quality of the educational process and strengthening the institution's position in the medical education system of Ukraine. The Chairman of the Academic Council, Vitalii UNDIR, thanked the scientific and pedagogical staff for their professionalism, dedication and active participation in the development of the educational and scientific activities of the Academy, emphasizing the significant contribution of teachers to the training of highly qualified specialists for the healthcare sector. For conscientious work, high professionalism and significant contribution to the development of medical education, the scientific and pedagogical workers of the Academy were awarded Honorary Certificates of the Rivne Regional Council: Nataliia PEREKHODKO, Oksana MIALIUK, Lesia KUSHNIR, Vasyl PALAPA, Yurii LINNIK. The recognition of the workers was evidence of recognition of their many years of fruitful activity, active participation in the development of the educational environment and the training of future specialists in the field of health care.

Special attention during the meeting was paid to summing up the results of the rating assessment of the activities of the scientific and pedagogical workers of the Academy. According to the results of the rating, teachers who demonstrated high results in scientific, educational, methodological and organizational work were noted; active publication activity, participation in scientific conferences, international projects, as well as the introduction of modern educational technologies into the educational process were emphad. The best representatives of the teaching staff received awards for their significant contribution to the development of the Academy.

According to the agenda, the members of the Academic Council considered a number of strategically important issues related to the further development of the educational process. In particular, the issue of ensuring the quality of education, improving the internal system of monitoring educational activities and developing educational programs in accordance with modern requirements of higher education was discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the following issues:

expanding the educational opportunities of the Academy, in particular, preparing for licensing the educational program "Emergency Medicine / Paramedic";

organizing the preparation for accreditation of the educational programme:

specialty 227 "Therapy and Rehabilitation" educational qualification "Bachelor" professional qualification "Physical Therapist Assistant";

specialty 221 Dentistry for training specialists of the educational and professional degree "professional junior bachelor", qualification: dental hygienist;

specialty 221 Dentistry. Educational and professional program Orthopedic Dentistry;

the state of ensuring inclusiveness and barrier-free access in the buildings of the structural units of the Academy.

The members of the Academic Council also considered the issue of improving the organizational structure of the Academy, which is aimed at increasing management efficiency, optimizing the activities of structural units and creating favorable conditions for the development of educational and scientific activities.

Based on the results of considering all agenda items, the Academic Council adopted relevant decisions aimed at the further development of the Rivne Medical Academy, improving the quality of the educational process and strengthening the institution's position in the medical education system of Ukraine.

The decisions taken are aimed at further developing the educational environment, improving the quality of training future healthcare professionals, intensifying scientific activity, and strengthening the position of the Rivne Medical Academy as a modern institution of higher medical education, open to innovation and professional growth.
