Rivne Medical Academy participates in International Scientific Conference in Katowice
On September 17, representatives of the Rivne Medical Academy (RMA) participated in the 9th International Scientific Conference "Information and Innovation Technologies in the XXI Century," held at the Academy of Silesia (AS) in Katowice, Poland.
A significant event of the conference was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Rivne Medical Academy and the Academy of Silesia.
The memorandum establishes a foundation for the further development of international partnerships, educational and scientific collaboration, joint innovative projects, and the exchange of academic expertise. For the Academy, this represents another opportunity to engage with the international educational and scientific community and to broaden professional horizons.
The Rivne Medical Academy was represented by Vasyl PALAPA, Head of the Department of Medical-Preventive Disciplines and Laboratory Diagnostics, and Dmytro LYSYTSIA, Director of the Professional Medical College.
A key feature of the conference program was a presentation by Dmytro Leonidovych titled "Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education: A Culture of Responsible Use as the Foundation of Academic Integrity," which addressed the responsible use of artificial intelligence in medical education and its role in upholding the principles of academic integrity.
Vasyl Vasylovych actively participated in the conference's scientific proceedings and showcased the RMA’s experience in modern education and the development of professional competencies.
Another outcome of the Academy's participation will be a collective monograph based on the conference proceedings, to be published by a Polish academic publishing house. Academic staff from the institution contributed to its preparation. Oksana SHTRIMAITIS, Vice-Rector for Research, joined the conference online to deliver welcoming remarks; she conveyed greetings from the Academy’s Rector, Roman SHUSTYK, and emphad the importance of international cooperation, the exchange of experience, and the joint development of modern scientific approaches.
For us, this collaboration represents more than just signed documents; it signifies new professional connections, shared scientific ideas, an exchange of expertise, and the opportunity to jointly shape modern medical education.
We sincerely thank the organizers, partners, and all participants for their trust and fruitful collaboration.
