Round table: "Anatomy is the alphabet of a medical student"
Dear colleagues and students!
We invite you to take part in the round table "Anatomy is the alphabet of a medical student", which will be held at 10 a.m. on 22, February, 2024 in online format via the link https://meet.google.com/jdc-ptyn-kue
Anatomy is the oldest of the biological sciences. Cave and rock paintings depicting plants, animals and people dating back to 13-14 millennia BC have reached our times. In the cave of Asturias (Spain), the first anatomical drawing was discovered, which depicted an elephant with a drawn heart. This indicates that people of the Paleolithic era knew the location of the heart and its importance for animals. The first knowledge of anatomy was gained during the dissection of animals killed on the hunt. This procedure was often performed by priests, which was reflected in the name of some organs. Anatomy turned into the science of body structure in connection with the needs of medicine. In the distant ancestors of the Slavic peoples, artisans, working with bones, knew their physical, chemical, age and species characteristics. Flutes were made from the shank (large tibia). Astragalus (heel bones of small animals) were used for games in the Kyiv region. Masters had good knowledge of the complex process of etching bones with paints... Interesting??? Then come to the event! Let's get to know this incredible world!
