Open discussion on the topic "The importance of chemical knowledge for a future pharmacist"
The Rivne Medical Academy is holding events dedicated to the Day of the Pharmaceutical Worker. It is also necessary to have a scientific component, which is provided by our 2nd year masters-pharmacists. Under the guidance of Chemistry teachers Inessa Khmeliar and Lesia Kushnir (Borysiuk), they held an open discussion in an online format on the topic "The importance of chemical knowledge for a future pharmacist". The students presented their own research on the history of pharmacy, antiseptics, antibiotics, antidepressants, and others. They talked not only about the drugs themselves, but also about their use in medicine, modern approaches to choosing and the dangers of self-medication.
Separately, they focused on the importance of advertising when choosing medical drugs.
The theoretical part was continued by the 2nd year students of the Professional Medical College, who tested the theories provided by the senior students in practice - they analyzed the content of medicines from a chemical point of view, presented each individual chemical element that is most often used in medicines, and expressed their own vision of modern pharmacy. Open discussion, exchange of opinions are a good start to the students' scientific work at the beginning of the academic year.
