On the eve of the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II, students of Rivne Medical Academy together with the teacher Nadiia Melnychuk visited the Rivne Regional Museum of Local Lore.

During the excursion, students became acquainted with the exhibition dedicated to the activities of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) in the Rivne region. They discussed the struggle for independence, strength of spirit, and the contribution of the insurgents to the history of Ukraine. Archival materials, personal belongings, and historical exhibits made a particularly strong impression, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of past events.

The students also visited the exhibition “The Story of One Battalion,” dedicated to the soldiers of the 14th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion. The exhibition presents the stories of modern Heroes, their journey, struggle, and the price of freedom. Among the exhibits are personal belongings of soldiers, awards — including posthumous ones donated to the museum by the families of fallen defenders, as well as by their comrades-in-arms and chaplains.

These visits became a reminder of the important connection between the past and the present: the struggle for Ukraine continues, and preserving the memory of those who gave their lives for it remains our responsibility.
