“U-MED: Strengthening the Capacity of the Ukrainian Medical System through Adult Training for Junior Medical Personnel”
The Rivne Medical Academy, together with Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation, represented by the Separate Division of Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation in Ukraine, announces the start of recruitment for the profession of “Emergency Medical Technician” within the project “U-MED: Strengthening the Capacity of the Ukrainian Medical System through Adult Training for Junior Medical Personnel”. The project is implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation with funding from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic within the MEDEVAC Program.
The project aims to provide the adult population, in particular those affected by the war, with the opportunity to undergo short-term training for further employment or retention of employment in the healthcare sector and related industries, without the requirement for medical education. Particular attention is paid to ensuring inclusive access to training for vulnerable and underrepresented groups of the population, including internally displaced people (IDP), veterans and their family members, family members of a deceased or missing serviceman, single fathers or mothers, persons of retirement age, people who lost their jobs as a result of military operations, as well as people who returned to their places of permanent residence from other regions of Ukraine or from abroad.
The training will be conducted according to educational programs for the training of qualified workers, developed in accordance with the current Standards of Professional (Vocational and Technical) Education, approved by orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and is also focused on the needs of the local labor market.
The duration of training in the profession of "Emergency Medical Technician" is 3 months.
The educational process will be carried out in a blended learning format (online theoretical training and offline practical classes).
Upon completion of the training, students will receive a document (certificate) issued in accordance with the requirements of current legislation.
