The 21st of FEBRUARY IS INTERNATIONAL NATIVE LANGUAGE DAY
The native language is not just a means of communication. It is the memory of generations, the code of the nation and an invisible bridge between the past and the future. It is through language that traditions, songs, prayers, fairy tales and even the character of the people are transmitted.
The first-year students of the department “General Medicine” A (9) and the second-year students of the department “General Medicine” A (9) of the Professional Medical College of MIHE “Rivne Medical Academy gathered to once again remind us of the importance of the Ukrainian word as the spiritual foundation of the nation and an important factor in the professional communication of future doctors.
History has proven that when they want to destroy a nation, they take away their language. That is why Ukrainian language has been banned, ridiculed and displaced for centuries. But it survived thanks to people – writers, teachers, grandmothers who spoke their native language to their children.
Language is not just words.
This is the feeling of home.
This is the memory of ancestors.
This is the future of children.
Native language is a place where a person feels like themselves. These are roots that are not visible, but which hold.
