FEBRUARY 24 - NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER
On the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine bows its head in prayer. Regardless of religious affiliation, each of us asks for peace and victory for our homeland and its people, protection and strength for the soldiers, peace for the fallen…
The deputy director of the Professional Medical College, Svitlana Bukhalska, and the teacher of Philosophy, Nadiia Svirets, spoke about the meaning and power of prayer to the first-year students of the "General Medicine" department, group B(9).
And on the eve of this date, the second-year students of the "General Medicine" department, group B(9) of the Rivne Medical Academy, together with the same teachers, visited the "Volyn Iconography" exhibition at the Rivne Regional History Museum.
The exhibition has been closed to visitors for four years, but a tour was held specifically for our students at the request of the Academy administration. This was a special opportunity to see unique examples of icon painting and delve deeper into the spiritual heritage of our land.
The event was held as part of the study of the subject "Fundamentals of Philosophical Knowledge". The topic of the meeting was "Religious worldview. Icon as a talisman of Ukraine". They talked about the symbolism of icons, their spiritual meaning and role in the formation of national identity.
Such meetings help not only to expand the worldview, but also to feel the inner support, which is especially important for each of us today.
