Extracurricular event "HIV/AIDS: A threat to humanity"

On December 2, 2024, on the occasion of World HIV/AIDS Day, teachers of the cyclic committee of subject-oriented disciplines of general therapeutic profile held an online extracurricular event "HIV/AIDS: A threat to humanity" at the Rivne Medical Academy.

The World Health Organization has been celebrating World AIDS Day annually on December 1 since 1988. The cyclic committee has prepared interesting presentations that have broadened students' worldviews and will help prevent infection with the immunodeficiency virus, because future medical workers must know the Orders of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and strictly adhere to them.

HIV and AIDS are one of the most acute and dangerous problems in the world.

Current issues are highlighted: ways of infection of young people, statistical data in the world, in Ukraine and in the Rivne region. Clinical symptoms, diagnostics in the region, including anonymous, methods of treating patients with antiretroviral drugs are discussed in detail. Preventive measures and Orders of the Ministry of Health regarding HIV/AIDS diseases are detailed.
