Open meeting "Image of veterans in Ukrainian society"

War changes everyone, but it leaves the greatest mark in the souls of veterans. Our students, as future doctors, must be ready for this. Therefore, from the first days of training, we introduce the intricacies of this difficult topic.

The head of the MI "Veteran Space", chairman of the public organization "Veteran Space of the Rivne Region" Olha Yakovleva, leading specialist of the municipal institution Nataliia Khanenko and social educator of the Academy Nadiia Melnychuk held an open meeting "Image of veterans in Ukrainian society". The students were explained the main challenges that veterans may face in a relatively peaceful environment, why correct behavior is important on manifestations of post-traumatic syndrome, how to properly respond to the emotions of a veteran...

Unfortunately, almost every Ukrainian family has faced losses or has relatives who have gone through or are going through the path of war. And each case is unique, so it requires an individual approach. The main thing to realize: there are no universal solutions, respect, patience, and a willingness to help when needed are important.
