Event for the World Day of Social Justice: Reflections, Discussions, and New Experiences
On February 20, an event dedicated to the World Day of Social Justice was held. It was organized by the Candidate of Historical Sciences, social educator Nadiia Melnychuk and the student government activists.
The event was attended by the students: Mariia Kolodezhna and Iryna Dubynetska (4th year of the specialty "Preventive Dentistry"), Iryna Mosiichuk (1st year of the specialty "Medical business" group A 9), Vladyslav Zhuk (1st year of the specialty "Orthopedic Dentistry").
The deputy director on educational work Svitlana Bukhalska delivered a welcoming speech.
The participants had the opportunity to go deep into the concepts of justice and tolerance, watch thematic videos, analyze them, and discuss them. The main conclusion that the students came to: social justice does not appear by itself. This is a process in which each of us plays an important role. We determine what society will be like – and it depends on us whether tolerance, mutual respect and equality will become the norm in it.
Each of us can take a step towards equal opportunities, overcoming barriers and supporting each other. After all, only together can we create a harmonious society in which peace and mutual understanding reign.
