Frankly and professionally: talking about important things with teenagers
As part of the Medical_School project, Roman Skoreiko, a teacher of the Rivne Medical Academy, met with students at the Regional Scientific Lyceum in Rivne to talk about sex education. This is one of the key topics for today's youth, which requires professional explanations and open dialogue.
During the meeting, they discussed the peculiarities of the female and male bodies, what sexuality is, how puberty is formed, and why it is important to seek advice from a doctor in time. They also considered the risks associated with sending nude photos online, discussed signs of sexual violence, and the importance of personal boundaries. A separate block was devoted to preventing pregnancy at a young age and the types of contraception that are most acceptable and effective for teenagers.
Thanks to such meetings, we not only spread medical knowledge, but also help form a responsible attitude towards our own health.
