Rivne Medical Academy develops international cooperation in the medical field and rehabilitation

Vice-Rector for International Relations and Grants Nataliia MAMONTOVA, as part of an official delegation from the Rivne region, visited the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship of Poland.

The visit took place at the invitation of the Polish side according to the cooperation between the Rivne region and the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. As part of the delegation, representatives of the Rivne region got acquainted with the work of medical and rehabilitation institutions in the region.

One of the key locations was the University Clinical Hospital of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. Here, the fourth-year medical students undergo practical training directly in the hospital departments under the guidance of professors and practicing physicians. This format of combining university education with work in a clinical environment became one of the areas that were of particular interest to the representatives of the Academy.

During the meetings, prospects for cooperation in the field of medical education were discussed. Among the possible directions are internships for students of the Rivne Medical Academy in Polish hospitals, exchange of experience in therapy and rehabilitation, conferences, as well as online meetings of students and teachers with Polish colleagues.

Separately, the delegation visited the Voivodeship Rehabilitation Hospital for Adults in Gurowo-Ilawetsky, the Voivodeship Rehabilitation Hospital for Children in the village of America, and the Barka Center, where they help people with disabilities and the elderly, creating conditions for them not only for living and care, but also for socialization and active life.

For the Rivne Medical Academy, such international contacts are an opportunity to adopt practical experience, open up new formats of training, and create additional opportunities for the professional development of our students and teachers.
