The library of the Rivne Medical Academy has been enriched with valuable textbooks on palliative care, the author of which is Doctor of Philosophy, theologian Andreas Stähli (Academy for Palliative Care at the Johannes Hospice, Münster, Germany).

Palliative care is an integral part of the modern healthcare system, as its main goal is to improve the quality of life of patients with serious and incurable diseases, as well as support their families. That is why the training of future nurses, physical therapists and other medical workers is impossible without a thorough study of modern approaches to palliative care, based on the principles of professionalism, interdisciplinary interaction, humanity and respect for the dignity of the patient.

We are convinced that the new editions will become an important source of knowledge for our students, as well as a reliable assistant for teachers in the educational process. They will take a worthy place in the collections of the Academy's library and will contribute to the formation of professional competencies of future healthcare professionals.

We express our sincere gratitude to Galina Lejzjus for organizing the transfer of these textbooks to the Rivne Medical Academy. Thanks to such initiatives, Ukrainian medical education institutions gain access to modern European educational literature, which contributes to improving the quality of training of future medical professionals!
