Being a donor is cool, serious, important!
Students and teachers of the Rivne Medical Academy are convinced of this. They prove by their own example that donating blood is not scary. Especially on the eve of June 14 - the day when Ukrainians celebrate the day of those who give a part of themselves for others - Donor Day!
Our teachers Lesia Kushnir (Borysiuk), Inessa Khmeliar and Serhii Prokaziuk are not donors for the first time. They say that they donated blood for the first time after the appeals of colleagues. Since then, it has become a tradition. Like for many other teachers and employees of the Academy.
The teachers and students joined. For some, this was not the first donation to the Rivne Regional Blood Service Center, and for some, it was the first time. Some were inspired by teachers, some by a noble goal, and some continued the family tradition. Thus, third-year student Kateryna Kruhlyk told journalists of Suspilne:Rivne that before the donation she consulted with her mother, an experienced donor. It was she who inspired, reassured, and explained the whole process. So now there is one more donor in the family!
