European Day of Languages
The European Day of Languages (September 26) has been considered a traditional holiday in Europe since 2001. It was introduced by the Council of Europe to support linguistic diversity, the bilingualism of every European and the development of language teaching in the world. On this day, in 45 countries of the continent, activities aimed at learning non-native languages take place.
On September 26, the сyclic сommittee of Foreign Languages held a round table "European Day of Languages". The event was attended by the deputy director on educational work, Ph.D. Bukhalska S.Ye., teachers of the cyclic committee of foreign languages and college students. Those present listened to the following reports: Netepchuk A.Yu. "European Day of Languages", Ryshchuk O.V. "The place of English language among European languages", Tsymbala M.O. "German language and its place among European languages", Shkola A.M. "French language in our life", Kravchyk-Maidanovych L.M. "Language literacy is the degree of education and politeness of a person." Interesting reports were accompanied by presentations.
