To celebrate the Day of Defenders of Ukraine and the Feast of the Intercession (Pokrova), the Academy hosted a vibrant event titled "Cossack Games," steeped in the Ukrainian spirit, traditions, and a sincere atmosphere of unity.

The event began with welcoming remarks from Academy Rector Roman Shustyk, Professional College Director Dmytro Lysytsia, and the College’s Deputy Director on Educational Work Svitlana Bukhalska. This was followed by an inspiring speech from our History teacher and veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Andrii Kukurudza, which allowed everyone to gain a deeper appreciation for the significance of the Cossack era to the Ukrainian people.

An exciting, action-packed program had been planned, but an air raid alert made some changes. Participants managed to admire the "Breath of Autumn" art exhibition, view antique embroidered shirts and ritual towels—each holding the memories of generations—and watch a spirited Cossack Hopak dance before having to head to the shelter. Yet, the celebration didn't stop there: the kulish (traditional Cossack stew) was already cooked, so students happily enjoyed the meal right there in the shelter.

As soon as the air raid alert has ended, the festivities resumed in a warm, relaxed atmosphere—with circle dances, laughter, singing, and wholehearted fun.

We sincerely thank the students, teachers, and administration who helped bring this day to life. Special thanks go to the student government and to social educator and lecturer Nadiia Melnychuk. Glory to the Ukrainian Cossacks! Glory to Ukraine!
