The joining of the medical library to the medical academy is a logical decision and is a merger of two specialized institutions. In addition, according to the Law "On Higher Education", the university must have a scientific library as a structural unit.

It is also worth understanding that optimization where possible is a requirement of our difficult times. We must not only manage financial resources more effectively, but also use property better and have an effect from this.

The profile of the medical library itself will be preserved, the library fund and other property necessary for its activities will also be preserved. It's just that now it will not be a separate legal entity, but a structural unit of the medical academy. We received approval for this step from the Ministry of Culture.

After our decision today, the commission will work, then the transfer acts will be approved, the academy will form a new staff list.
