Lymphocytes in blood analysis: morphology, histogram, review according to ICSH 2015
Today, a master class on the topic "Lymphocytes in blood analysis: morphology, histogram, review according to ICSH 2015" was held at the Rivne Medical Academy, which aroused considerable interest among the participants, in particular laboratory technicians and laboratory diagnostics specialists. The participants of the event were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of Oksana Shtrimaitis, who focused the attention of the conference participants on the fact that the implementation of modern approaches in laboratory diagnostics is the key to high-quality diagnosis of diseases and, accordingly, effective treatment in the future.
The master class was conducted by Nataliia Moroz, laboratory technician of the Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital of the Volyn Region and Nataliia Roganina, laboratory technician of the Central City Hospital of the Rivne Region, head of the Association for Quality Assurance of Laboratory Medicine in the Rivne Region.
During the reports, expert speakers highlighted the features of lymphocyte morphology, their visualization in a complete blood count, as well as modern approaches to evaluating histograms according to the ICSH 2015 recommendations. They focused on the differences in reactive lymphocytes, their role in the diagnosis of viral infections, and the importance of correct interpretation of indicators during automatic and manual counting.
The master class had a practical focus, was accompanied by a demonstration of microscopic preparation samples, and contributed to increasing the level of knowledge of specialists regarding the differential diagnosis of changes in the lymphocyte series.
The event was held in a constructive and professional atmosphere, and participants received valuable knowledge for practical application in everyday work.
