On May 15–16, the 5th All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference “Current issues of the clinic, diagnostics, and treatment at different levels of medical care” was held at the Rivne Medical Academy.

The two-day event brought together about 500 scientists, teachers, medical professionals, and students from different parts of the country. Participants worked on important topics related to communication between doctors and the military, mental health, psychological support, stress management, and resilience in wartime.

The online plenary session dedicated to the interaction of doctors and the military was special: they talked about empathy, trust, psychological rehabilitation of veterans, and the importance of supporting not only patients but also healthcare professionals themselves.

Professional discussions were complemented by practical sessions, intensives and meetings that inspired and equipped with new knowledge. In particular, the speakers focused on the topics of psychological and mental health, burnout and high performance.

In groups led by the speakers, the participants frankly answered difficult psychological questions-clues to themselves, acted out situations and options for ways out of them, and much more. Such practices allowed not only to get to know colleagues better, but also themselves.
