PEDAGOGICAL CONCILIUM
On January 15, 2026, a pedagogical concilium was held on the problem of “Innovative forms and methods of working with students to ensure a safe educational environment”. Roman SHUSTYK, rector of the Rivne Medical Academy, in his speech drew attention to increasing the authority of the teacher. Roman Petrovych noted that a motivated teacher has greater freedom of creativity and develops professionally. The rector recommended that teachers rely on the principles of pedagogy when teaching: partnership and student-centered learning, which involves fruitful cooperation between participants in the educational process on the basis of mutual trust and respect.
At the pedagogical concilium the director of the Professional Medical College, Dmytro LYSYTSIA, summed up the results of educational activities for the first semester and identified key priorities for the next period. During the meeting, the heads of departments analyzed the results of the academic achievements of students, the level of formation of professional and general competencies, the effectiveness of the organization of the educational process and the quality of practical training. Considerable attention was paid to the issues of adaptation of the first-year students, academic success, adherence to the principles of academic integrity and the features of the individual educational path of students.
Based on the discussion results, the main achievements were identified, as well as problematic aspects that require correction and interdisciplinary interaction of specialists were outlined. The participants of the concilium emphad the importance of systematic psychological and pedagogical support, increasing students' educational motivation and developing their professional responsibility.
During the educational and methodological event, the following priority areas of work were identified: improving professional training methods taking into account the needs of the labor market, activating practice-oriented training, introducing modern educational technologies, developing soft skills of students and strengthening cooperation with employers.
The pedagogical concilium contributed to the coordination of united work of the teaching staff and the definition of strategic guidelines for ensuring the quality of professional pre-higher education.
