The second-year students of the specialty I7 "Therapy and Rehabilitation" became not just listeners, but active participants in a guest lecture on the topic:

"Infection control in the practice of a physical therapist". It was read by Dmytro Lysytsia, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Medical and Preventive disciplines and laboratory diagnostics of the Rivne Medical Academy.

During the lesson, they studied theoretical material, touched on the history of infection control in medicine, discussed modern challenges, heard the thoughts and experience of a practicing physician, and most interestingly, tried some of the tools on themselves! So, the students determined the material from which disposable gloves are made, tried to prepare disinfected instruments for storage. And they also conducted an experiment - how well future doctors know how to properly disinfect their hands. To do this, everyone who wanted could treat their hands with a disinfectant with specially added paint. And then in the light of an ultraviolet lamp to see the result. After all, traces of the substance under the light turned white!

Lectures with elements of practice are an interesting and modern format that allows each student to feel as involved as possible into the material.

The guest lecture was held in a mixed format. So, in addition to students, scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Medical and Preventive Disciplines and Laboratory Diagnostics of the Rivne Medical Academy and pedagogical workers of Professional medical colleges joined it.
