The 24th of February - this date has become a symbol of indomitability, unity and the struggle for freedom.

Over the course of four years, the country has survived thousands of trials, but at the same time has shown the world an example of courage and strength of spirit. Ukrainian soldiers on the front, doctors, volunteers, educators and every citizen bring victory closer every day, maintaining faith in the future.

Students and teachers of the Rivne Medical Academy joined the events, emphasizing the importance of remembering those who gave their lives for independence and supporting those who continue the struggle.

On February 24, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Nataliia Perekhodko gave a lecture on the topic "Russian Policy towards Ukraine: Historical Origins of Modern Aggression".

The event revealed the historical background and evolution of Russia's imperial policy towards Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the formation of Russian state ideology, the policy of denying Ukrainian statehood and identity, as well as the tools of political, cultural and informational influence that have been used against the Ukrainian people for centuries.

The lecture analyzed the cause-and-effect relationships between the historical legacy of the imperial and Soviet periods and the modern full-scale aggression that began in 2022. A special emphasis was placed on the role of historical memory and information warfare.

The event contributed to the deepening of students' historical thinking, the formation of a critical attitude towards propaganda narratives and the awareness of the historical origins of modern events.

This anniversary is not only a day of mourning, but also a day of gratitude - for the strength of the people, for unity and for the unbreakable faith in victory.
