"THE EXPERT OF THE 21ST CENTURY: RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL INNOVATIONS UNDER MARTIAL LAW IN UKRAINE"

On January 29-30th, 2026, an educational and methodological forum was held at the Rivne Medical Academy: "THE EXPERT OF THE 21ST CENTURY: RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL INNOVATIONS UNDER MARTIAL LAW IN UKRAINE". The event featured a thorough discussion of current issues in the training of modern specialists in the context of global changes and European integration processes. The event was organized by the Rivne Medical Academy, and the co-organizers of the forum were the Silesian Academy (Republic of Poland), Ternopil National Pedagogical University after Volodymyr Hnatiuk, Bukovyna State Medical University, Ternopil National Medical University after I. Ya. Horbachevskyi.

VITALII OLEKSANDROVYCH UNDIR, the deputy chairman of the Rivne Regional Council, addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech, noting that today's forum is an important platform for exchanging experience, ideas, scientific developments and practical solutions for the development of professional competencies of medical workers.

Rectors of higher education institutions joined the welcoming speech: SHUSTYK ROMAN PETROVYCH, rector of the Rivne Medical Academy, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Honored Doctor of Ukraine, clarified that today the training of medical and pharmaceutical personnel requires not only thorough professional knowledge, but also the formation of clinical thinking, an interdisciplinary approach, and the ability to work in conditions of constant change and challenges.

ALEXANDER OSTENDA, professor, PhD, rector of the Silesian Academy (Katowice, Poland), noted that such professional discussion platforms are extremely important in determining the areas of training for applicants to higher education institutions. ALEXANDER OSTENDA thanked for the opportunity to cooperate with the Rivne Medical Academy.

BOHDAN BOHDANOVYCH BUYAK, rector of Ternopil National Pedagogical University after Volodymyr Hnatiuk, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, noted that investments in education and science today are investments into the stability of the state, its security and European future. Bohdan Bohdanovych wished all participants fruitful work, constructive discussions and new professional ideas.

HERUSH IHOR VASYLOVYCH, rector of the Bukovyna State Medical University, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor, assured that the results of this forum will contribute to strengthening the health care system, developing medical education and bringing our Victory and full membership of Ukraine in the European Union closer.

A more detailed discussion of the current issues of introducing technological innovations into the educational process took place in three directions:

SECTION 1. “Formation of spiritual and moral values of the personality of students”;

SECTION 2. “Designing and developing professional and personal success of a future medical and pharmaceutical specialist”;

SECTION 3. “Natural and mathematical education in the projection of the modern scientific paradigm”.

Based on the results of the event, the Collection of conference abstracts of the Educational and Methodological Forum “The Expert of the 21st Century: Research and Educational Innovations under Martial Law in Ukraine” will be published.
