For students of specialty 226 Pharmacy, industrial pharmacy, an interesting and informative guest lecture on the discipline "Pharmacognosy" was held, which was conducted by Svitlana Mykhailivna Marchyshyn, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy with Medical Botany of Ternopil National Medical University after I. Ya. Horbachevskyi.

During the lecture on the topic "Analysis of medicinal plants and medicinal plant raw materials containing flavonoids with diuretic, choleretic and P-vitamin effect", students learned about the features of the chemical composition of medicinal plants, their biologically active substances and pharmacological properties. Svitlana Mykhailivna paid special attention to the practical application of medicinal plants and their use in the creation of modern medicines.

Such meetings with leading scientists and specialists in the pharmaceutical industry broaden the professional worldview of students, motivate them to deeper study professional disciplines, and contribute to the combination of theoretical knowledge with modern scientific research.
