Lecture dedicated to World Tuberculosis Day
On the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day, the Academy hosted a lecture-meeting of higher and professional pre-higher medical education students with tuberculosis specialist Iryna Poliukhovych, a representative of the "Rivne Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital".
The event was held in the format of a live dialogue, which allowed participants not only to receive relevant information, but also to ask questions and discuss important aspects of modern medicine.
During the meeting, Iryna Poliukhovych, as a specialist in the field of pulmonology, highlighted the current issues of the epidemic situation regarding the spread of tuberculosis in Ukraine and the Rivne region, emphad the importance of timely diagnosis, prevention and a responsible attitude to one's own health.
Special attention was paid to a topic that is becoming increasingly relevant among young people - the impact of vaping on the human body. The lecturer focused on the risks to the respiratory system and the general negative impact of electronic smoking devices.
Holding such events is an important component of the training of future medical professionals, as it contributes to the formation of professional thinking, increasing awareness and responsibility in matters of public health.
