The Rivne Medical Academy hosted an interesting and informative master class for the first-year students of the department of "General Medicine" group A(9) on the topic "The Importance of Latin Clinical Terminology in the Professional Thinking of a Medical Worker". It was organized by teacher Mariia Tsymbala.

During the meeting, the participants delved into the history of the emergence of the Latin language and learned how medical terminology was formed. Special attention was paid to the development of Ukrainian medical terminology and its linguistic features.

It turned out that many familiar words have interesting equivalents:

- "starvation for vitamins" — avitaminosis,

- "skin", "dying", "time" — agony,

- "bleeding", "cutter", "red" — dysentery.

Students also performed interactive tasks: using term elements, they formed new medical terms, which helped to better understand the logic of the professional language of doctors.

The event combined learning and creativity: elements of art therapy, reflection and practical exercises. Participants chose Latin sayings that symbolize their personal goal, and in a creative way depicted the path to achieving it in drawings.
