Dedicated to the Environment Day, the Rivne Medical Academy talked about something important - the impact of war on nature and our health.

Future doctors and pharmacists, together with Biology teachers Svitlana Bukhalska and Hanna Serheieva, analyzed how active hostilities that continue in our country affect air, soil and water pollution, the destruction of biodiversity and, accordingly, the emergence and development of environmentally dependent diseases. Students presented their own research on the impact of war on the environment and environmental safety.

There was also an interactive session. Inspired by the speeches of their peers, students worked in groups with eco-mental maps. They also checked how well we know ecology and looked for connections between the environment and human health.

Special attention was paid to environmental and biological ethics. We talked about responsible management of medical waste and how even small decisions can have a big impact.

Because being a modern doctor is also about responsibility for the environment in which we live.
