Today, February 11, the world celebrates the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This holiday is designed to inspire the future generation of women to develop in the scientific field.

The Rivne Medical Academy brought together female specialists in the scientific and medical fields. And on the occasion of the holiday, the institution held a motivational seminar "Women in Science and Not Only... Through the Pages of History".

"Today, we must strive for development, for obtaining scientific degrees, so that our academy has even more candidates of sciences and doctors of sciences in its staff. And we, as the management of the institution, will help and support you as much as possible. To make our institution even more powerful," noted the rector of the Rivne Medical Academy Nataliia Mamontova.

Oksana Shtrimaitis, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. During the seminar, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Liudmyla Artemenko told more about outstanding women in science, and Candidate of Historical Sciences Nataliia Perekhodko presented "Mysterious Stories of Rivne".

Hypatiia of Alexandria, Ada Lovelace, Sofiia Okunevska-Morachevska, Mariia Skłodowska-Curie. These women have inscribed their names in the history of science. Modern scientists also do not stand aside from discoveries and research.

During the conference, the contribution of women scientists to the development of various spheres of our life was once again discussed. And also interesting facts and traditions related to women and their professions were recalled.

So we congratulate everyone - those who already have a scientific degree, as well as those who only dream of it, taking the first steps in scientific activity.
