Practice that forms real doctors
The 4th year students of the “Nursing” department, group A(9), together with senior teacher Tamara Roshcheniuk, held an open practical class on the basis of the City Children's Hospital.
The topic is extremely important for future nurses: "The work of a nurse in the early childhood department." During the master class, the lecturer demonstrated how to properly conduct anthropometry of children of different ages - measuring weight, height, head circumference and chest.
But the main thing is that it was real practice. Students worked with equipment, practiced measurement algorithms, learned to correctly record results in medical documentation and discussed real clinical situations. They also presented interesting reports on rare clinical cases associated with changes in anthropometric parameters of newborns.
The class was held in an interactive format with the participation of lecturers and medical specialists, who noted the high level of training of students and the practical value of such training.
