Dedicated to the World Diabetes Day and according to the month of clinical disciplines, on November 12, a series of events entitled “All about diabetes” was held at the Rivne Medical Academy.

Students had the opportunity to:

- get acquainted with products with different glycemic indexes;

-listen to the presentations by 4th-year students — Anna Shtuka, Tetiana Semenyshyna (group A, “Nursing” department) and Anna Lokhvytsia, Alina Ivashchenko (group B, “General Medicine”);

- undergo practical training “Prevention of cardiovascular diseases”, which was conducted by Dmytro Kysil — trainer of mobile rehabilitation teams of the Ukrainian Medical Academy, physical therapist of the Center for Clinical Neurology and Multiple Sclerosis of the Regional Center for Orphan Diseases of the Rivne Regional Council.

The event was organized by the teachers of the cyclic committee of therapeutic disciplines and the basics of nursing - Svitlana Shadyi, Tamara Hordashko and Tetiana Boichuk.

Such meetings are not just part of the educational process, but a practical step towards the formation of future specialists who understand the importance of prevention, early detection and control of chronic diseases.

Together we are forming a conscious generation of medical workers ready to take care of people's health every day.
