In order to improve the experience in providing psychological first aid to servicemen injured during the war, on October 13, 2023, a meeting was held at the Professional Medical College of "Rivne Medical Academy" with Olha Yakovleva, director of municipal institution "Veteran's Space", as well as with a professional social worker Khanenko Nataliia, who talked about the peculiarities of communication with those who have combat experience and those who are traumatized by war.

Medical students of the institution asked many questions:

• how to properly communicate with soldiers who have returned from the front;

• what questions can cause aggression;

• how to talk so that ordinary questions do not sound harsh, as well as regarding the specifics of the organization's work, the complexity of handling non-standard situations with military personnel on rotation, providing psychological assistance to relatives of fallen Heroes.

Educators received meaningful advice on how to "not burn out" while providing support to a victim, and also heard that the best help for a military person is to LISTEN.

The closing remarks were made by: Svitlana Bukhalska, deputy director on educational work, Nadiia Melnychuk, social pedagogue, who thanked for practical instructions for future doctors and for the important work of "Veteran space" workers in modern realities.
