Dean of the Faculty Larysa Korobko, as a part of the Ukrainian delegation, paid an official visit to Oslo.

In order to strengthen institutional capacity in the development of nursing and study the best practices of Norway, the Ukrainian delegation had a working visit to Oslo. The program included intensive meetings in Norwegian state institutions, healthcare institutions, educational institutions and the Norwegian Red Cross.

During the visit, the delegation:

• got acquainted with the organization and work of the Norwegian Red Cross Society, Health Centre for Undocumented Migrants in Oslo;

• studied the VAR Healthcare digital tool “Evidence-based Procedures for Nurses” and the possibilities of implementation in Ukraine;

• studied models of providing nursing and rehabilitation care (Aker Hospital, Sunnaas Hospital);

• presented the Ukrainian experience of transforming the healthcare system and developing nursing during the war, developing professional standards and nursing education in higher education institutions of Ukraine;

• established partnerships with educational institutions, in particular Oslo Metropolitan University;

• had a number of meetings with representatives of the Norwegian Directorate of Health.

The visit is aimed at strengthening Ukrainian-Norwegian cooperation, supporting reforms, developing professional standards and strengthening the role of nurses in the healthcare system.
