June 4 is Day of Commemoration of Children Who Died as a Result of the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine
Today, a commemorative event dedicated to children whose lives were cut short by the war was held at the Rivne Medical Academy, organized by teacher Nadiia Melnychuk and the student government.
Those present honored the memory of the dead with a minute of silence. During the event, video memories of children who survived the occupation, losses, fear and trials that forever changed their childhood were broadcast. Poems full of pain, hope and faith in a peaceful future were recited.
Symbols of childhood that acquired special significance during the war were separately remembered: angels, bells, paper birds and soft toys — as a reminder of children's souls whose voices were forever silenced because of the war.
This day is not only about grief. This is a day of remembrance, responsibility and awareness of the price that Ukraine pays for its right to be free. We remember every child. A bright memory to the innocent victims of war.
