Traditionally, every year around the 20th of March, at the Professional Medical College of "Rivne Medical Academy" hosts an information-cognitive and medical-prophylactic platform "Let's overcome tuberculosis together!", in the format of which the following events took place:

• Informational minutes "March 24th - Day of the Fight against Tuberculosis",

• hours of communication of group teachers,

• lectures-presentations by teachers of clinical disciplines,

• meetings with specialists of the phthisiatric service - Iryna Poliukhovych, doctor of the Rivne Regional Phthisiopulmonology Medical Center and Furyk Halyna, head of outpatient clinic № 5.

During the specified educational events, the students of medical and pharmaceutical education:

• recalled historical moments about the discovery of Koch's bacillus as the causative agent of tuberculosis infection;

• familiarized themselves with statistical data on tuberculosis, modern diagnostic methods, treatment protocols and preventive measures.

The information about the harmful effects of vaping – smoking of electronic cigarettes, which creates a favorable effect for tuberculosis infection, was instructive!

Such measures contribute to the formation of professional and health-preserving competence of medical pharmaceutical education students!
