The Professional medical college of the Rivne Medical Academy held a reciters’ contest called "The Word of Taras", dedicated to the memory of the Great Kobzar. The moderator of the event was the teacher of Ukrainian literature Viktoriia Biletska. The students of the departments: "Medical business", "Pharmacy", "Nursing" and "Dentistry" took part and enthusiastically recited the works of Taras Shevchenko, showing a deep understanding of his poetry.

The participants' performances were distinguished by emotionality, artistry and successful interpretation of classical texts.

The jury of the competition, which consisted of teachers and students, highly appreciated the preparation of the participants. Particular attention was paid to the expressiveness of speech, emotional contact with the audience and the originality of the presentation of the works.

The audience and judges were particularly impressed by the 1st year students of the "Medical business" department, group A, who once again proved that the classics of Ukrainian literature, namely the works of Taras Shevchenko, remain topical today. They paid special attention to the poem "Kateryna", which was perceived through the prism of modernity.
