The Academic Council held elections for the head of the Department of Medical and Preventive Disciplines and Laboratory Diagnostics. By an overwhelming majority of votes, Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences Vasyl Vasyliovych Palapa was elected to the position.

To improve the work and the activities of the institution, the Academic Council considered and supported the updated structure of the Academy. The heads of structural divisions were familiarized with the adjustments, clarified job descriptions and new functional responsibilities, which will contribute to a more effective organization of work and increase the productivity of the institution.

In addition, the meeting discussed issues on ways to improve the scientific and methodological work of pedagogical and scientific and pedagogical workers of professional colleges of the Rivne Medical Academy; on the organization and conduction of all types of practices as a means of improving the quality of specialist training; on the information content of the websites of structural units and their presentation in social networks. Reports of structural units on the workshops’ work at the Academy were also heard.

The members of the Academic Council actively discussed the following principles: Principles on the Code of Corporate Ethics at the Municipal Institution of Higher Education “Rivne Medical Academy”, Principles on the training laboratory for practical training “SiRiMeds Simulation Center” of the Municipal Institution of Higher Education “Rivne Medical Academy”, Principles on the structural unit “Office and Archives” of the Municipal Institution of Higher Education “Rivne Medical Academy” of the Rivne Regional Council, which were approved by open voting.
