On April 22, 2026, a guest lecture was held at the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy with the participation of Kysil Dmytro, a trainer of mobile rehabilitation teams of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS), a practicing physical therapist.

The topic of the lecture: "Communication with veterans in the practice of a physical therapist".

The event covered topical issues of professional interaction with veterans, in particular, the features of establishing trusting contact, adhering to ethical principles, taking into account the psycho-emotional state of patients, as well as the specifics of communication in post-traumatic experience. Special attention was paid to practical cases from the experience of mobile rehabilitation teams and modern approaches to interdisciplinary interaction.

Students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with real clinical situations, ask questions to the speaker, and receive practical recommendations on building effective communication with veteran patients.

The lecture contributed to the deepening of the professional knowledge of the students, the formation of clinical thinking and the development of communicative competences of future physical therapists.
