On February 5, 2025, according to the cooperation regulations of "Rivne Medical Academy" and Rivne Regional Specialized Dispensary for Radiation Protection of the Population, an educational and practical seminar "Problems and prospects for the development of modern technologies in physical therapy and occupational therapy" was held.

At the seminar, the guarantor of the educational and professional program of the second (master's) level of education specialty 227 Therapy and Rehabilitation Ryzhkovskyi Volodymyr Olehovych, associate professor, candidate of medical sciences, shared his work on modern methods of rehabilitation for surgical diseases. The guarantor of the educational and professional program of the first (bachelor's) level of education in the specialty 227 Therapy and Rehabilitation Prokopchuk Vita Yuriivna, associate professor, candidate of pedagogical sciences, analyzed modern technologies in physical therapy.

Dmytro KYSIL, physical therapist of Rivne Regional Specialized Dispensary for Radiation Protection of the Population, held a master class for the participants of the event on the problem: "Features of the use of assistive technologies in therapy and rehabilitation."

During the seminar, students of the second (master's) level of higher education in the specialty 227 Therapy and Rehabilitation highlighted the results of their scientific research, in particular:

• "Modern prospects and innovative methods of rehabilitation of burns and scars resulting from hostilities" - Shmaliukh Yuliia;

• “Modern methods of physical therapy for ischemic stroke in the acute recovery stage of rehabilitation” – Pyvovarchuk Maksym;

• “Modern prospects for the use of physical therapy tools in the recovery process of post-stroke patients in the hospital stage” – Babych Sofiia;

• “Modern methods of rehabilitation of medical personnel working in shifts” – Melnyk Bohdan;

• “Innovative methods of combating phantom pain after amputation of the lower limb” – Koshman Olena.

As a result of discussions and debates, the seminar participants developed methodological recommendations on ways to improve the training of future employees in the specialty 227 Therapy and Rehabilitation.
